PLANNING YOUR EVENT

We are pleased that you are considering Simply Savoury for  your special celebration. The following information is designed to help you with planning and to answer some of the questions you may have regarding our services.

When comparing Catering and Banquet services, you need to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Simply Savoury states exactly what is included in our services and pricing. Many caterers have add on charges that you find out about later. Go over each of your quotes and if something is included in our quote don't assume that it's covered in a competing quote.

PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS

Confirmation of Space

Events are booked on a first come basis. The time that is scheduled is reserved for you alone.  It is important that you book your special date(s) as early as possible to ensure availability. Space may be confirmed on a definite basis as early as 12 months in advance. All dates are subject to approval from our Sales Department and are considered definite upon receipt of deposits.

 

Service Charge

An hourly charge is assessed per Simply Savoury employee including event time, set-up time and clean-up. The hourly charge is 15.00 per hour, per server for most events. Simply Savoury employees are uniformed in black and white attire. Simply Savoury will add a  18% service charge to all food and beverage items,  if table service is requested. 

Deposits

A deposit is required to hold all dates. Details can be discussed with our sales department at (541) 255-2527. The deposit of 50% will be applied to the total charges and the balance will be due 10 days prior to the day of the event. In case of cancellation for  booked dates, a handling fee will be deducted and a major portion of your deposit will be refunded only up to eight months prior to the event. In case of cancellation, your full deposit will be refunded if you cancel at least 8 months prior to your reserved date. Events canceled less than 8 months prior to your reserved date will receive a partial deposit refund based on the timing of cancellation notice.  

 Food & Beverage Estimates

Priced per person, for standard or customized menus. Total costs vary according to the menu selection and type of event.  When choosing 2 Entrees, both Entrees are priced at the higher priced item.

Counts of each entree are required 15 days prior to your event. This is the guaranteed number of guests that Simply Savoury prepares and charges for.

We are happy to provide you with a detailed event estimate once your menu, beverage, equipment needs, etc. are selected. A event contract is written once you make your deposit.

Auxiliary Services

Recommendations are available for videographers, wedding coordinators, photographers, musicians, florists, bakers, printers and all other services that may be utilized at your event.  

We will he happy to arrange and set-up all rental items once you have decided on a location. We offer an extensive selection including: China, Linens, Silverware and Glassware,  and Cake Cutting. These items may vary at other off-site locations.

 They are available by request only and are subject to a  rental fee. 

At Simply Savoury we itemize our prices so that you may clearly see all expenses.

Additional Charges

 MILEAGE FEE'S: A flat fee will be charged for service to venues.
